Like Father, Like Daughter

Genesis 6: 1-2a “When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful,”

A daughter in this circumstance can either be referred as human or angel (NIV study bible reference).  I think this is just too cool.  Females in today’s world strive so hard to make their own beauty when it says in scripture that we don’t have to work for that.  The Father already believes and wants to tell us we are beautiful!

Psalms 45:11 “The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your Lord.”

The media, new-found tiredness, and dieting ploys can definitely contribute to a doubt to our beauty.  To make things worse, our world has somehow made females think it is okay to sexually give our bodies to others openly and willingly.  However, the real truth is what God wants us to truly understand:  We are beautiful.  He created us because Adam wasn’t good to be alone in the Garden.  We are Captivating 🙂 As a daughter of Christ, I am extremely thankful that I have the Jesus, a wonderful family, the Bible, and my friends to lift me up when things seem to be hard.  I know I struggle with being single sometimes and reading scripture is just one way to help fight the battle against the enemy’s lies that tell me I will be single the rest of my life and I’m going to be one of those people who is IN a bunch of weddings, but will never have one of my own.  Here is what scripture says….

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.  Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Thank you Lord for never leaving me, your grace, and steadfast love that never runs dry. ❤

For all you women out there… Read this book (as well as the Bible, woo):

This book will lift you up!
